As a Texas Dental Sleep Services (TDSS) Provider, I am proud to stand as one of the select few providers participating In-Network with a variety of carriers.
We also work with nearly all insurance companies and Medicare. If we are not In-Network, we will work to maximize your coverage as an out-of-network or non-participating provider. We work to maximize your insurance coverage for in-network, out-of-network and as non-participating providers.
Choosing an in-network provider means you’re selecting a healthcare professional with an agreement with your insurance company to provide services at special, lower rates. This is great news for you as it usually leads to reduced out-of-pocket costs, like smaller co-pays and co-insurance fees. Plus, in-network providers handle billing directly with your insurance, making the process smoother and less complicated for you.
If we are out of network with your insurance company, rest assured that we are here to support you every step of the way. Our team will navigate the claims process on your behalf, ensuring that everything is managed efficiently and effectively. We understand that out-of-network care can sometimes be more expensive, so we make a point of charging fees that are usual and customary, or lower to alleviate some of the financial burdens. Additionally, we offer a range of flexible payment plans, providing tremendous options to fit your budget. Our commitment is to your health and well-being, ensuring you receive the best possible care, tailored to your financial situation, whether as an in-network or out-of-network provider.
In our role as a non-participating provider, we are dedicated to setting usual and customary fees for our dental sleep medicine services, which might occasionally be above the rates approved by Medicare. We simplify the billing process for our patients by submitting claims directly to Medicare, allowing you to receive reimbursements directly. This approach ensures a smooth and transparent financial experience from start to finish. Our goal is to provide the best possible care in dental sleep medicine, ensuring that financial considerations do not stand in the way of achieving optimal health.
Your First Visit to TDSS
A Comprehensive Start to Better Sleep
At TDSS, we understand that your journey to better sleep begins with your first visit. Our dedicated team is here to ensure that your initial evaluation is thorough, informative, and stress-free. Here’s what you can expect during your first appointment:
Your First Appointment: For your first visit, only your co-pay for the evaluation and bill your insurance carrier for the remainder. If, for some reason, your insurance does not cover the cost of the evaluation, we will notify you and bill you for the remainder of the evaluation fee, guaranteeing no unexpected charges.
Before Your Appointment:
- New Patient Form: You will complete the New Patient Form to enable us to collect essential information and permissions. This step is crucial for us to request the required medical and financial details, allowing us to provide you with a precise treatment plan and cost estimate.
- Preparation is Key: We’ll coordinate with your referring physician to gather all necessary documentation, ensuring we have a full understanding of your medical history and needs.
- Hassle-Free Insurance Handling: Our team will handle all the insurance legwork for you, from securing the needed authorizations to conducting a Verification of Benefits with your insurer. Our goal is to simplify your experience as much as possible.
During Your Evaluation:
- Personalized Evaluation: Your first visit involves a comprehensive evaluation to assess your condition, needs, and the best treatment options tailored for you.
- Transparent Billing: We manage the billing process directly with your insurance carrier, filing all claims and maximizing your coverage.
- Treatment Plan Presentation: Following your evaluation, we’ll present a customized Treatment Plan, along with a Good Faith Estimate. This estimate includes detailed funding and payment options, ensuring you’re well-informed before any treatment begins.
Moving Forward:
- Approval and Authorization: Upon your approval of the treatment plan, we’ll manage all necessary prior authorizations for fabricating your custom fit oral appliance.
- Continued Support: Our doctor and team is committed to working closely with you to ensure you get the most out of the treatment we provide. We will review the fits and effectiveness of the oral appliance and make any necessary adjustments.
